The Banner — June 8 @ 1:03am

It’s been a week since we got started here at The Banner and we’d like to take a moment to thank everyone who made our first week a success.

Any blog is only as good as the people who read it and comment on it. We’d like to thank the following commenters for chiming in and making our first week so eventful and so much fun.

A warm thank you to all of you: a random John, Abe Thompson, Allison, Amira, annegb, Ben H, Ben S., Brother Joseph, Christian Y. Cardall (TSM), Daniel, Danithew, David King Landrith, diet coke, foxforcefive, Geoff J, J. Stapley, Janey, Jeffrey Giliam, john fowles, John Mansfield, Jonathan Max Wilson, Jordan, just J, Justin H, Kaimi, Kaimi’s Evil Twin, Karen, Karl Butcher, Languatron, lyle, Mark B., Naomi Frandsen, Nephi J., NFlanders, Rosalynde, Scott, Shannon K, Stephen M (Ethesis), Steve Evans, Steve’s Evil Twin, Sue, Susan M, The Only True and Living Nathan, and finally, whatever (that’s somebody’s name; please, don’t get confused).

Honestly, it means a lot to us. To those of you who lurk but don’t comment we love you too and invite you to comment once in a while. We’re not so scary once you get to know us. And if by chance any of you enjoy The Banner feel free to link here or tell your friends. The more the merrier. Once again, we appreciate it.

Mari, Aaron, Greg, Sep, Miranda, and Jenn

  1. Wow… this is the first time I’ve been personally thanked by a blog for participating. Well, I’d like to accept this award and thank all the people who helped me to get here today. If it hadn’t been for my family, my agent, my coworkers… what? I only get thirty seconds for an acceptance speech. crap!

  2. Wow indeed! Gosh, you’re welcome, I guess…

    Steve Evans — June 8, 2005 @ 10:19am
  3. yes, you’re very welcome. I appreciate this post, very good manners, you guys.

    annegb — June 8, 2005 @ 11:36am
  4. Thanks for the fuzzies! Keep it up.

    Justin H — June 8, 2005 @ 11:55am
  5. You’re welcome!

    Allison — June 8, 2005 @ 3:05pm
  6. Hey, what about thanking the bloggers, Sep? (he’s the one who thought of doing this, even though I’m sure you’re all thinking it was Mari or Jenn)

    Greg Fox — June 8, 2005 @ 3:37pm
  7. this is when we start regretting thanking Languatron…

    Banner of Heaven — June 8, 2005 @ 4:20pm
  8. All of my comments have been deleted. That is NOT how you thank people. Your BLOG is clearly under the CORPORATE THRALL of Bonnie Hammer and her minions at the Sci-Fi channel. My opinion will not be suppressed. Your “thanks” is as hollow as your “POSTS”.

Why not just admit that you’ve been bought, LOCK STOCK AND BARREL by the corporate interests of the Sci-Fi Channel?

    Languatron — June 8, 2005 @ 4:23pm
  9. OK. We’ve been bought LOCK STOCK AND BARREL by the corporate interests of the Sci-Fi Channel. Are you happy?

    Miranda PJ — June 8, 2005 @ 4:32pm
  10. Wow, they’ll let anyone be a minion of the sci-fi channel these days. And I thought that I was the only one. Quality control has just gone to hell, I tell you. You just can’t trust a minion anymore.

    Kaimi — June 8, 2005 @ 4:32pm
  11. You know, I’ve never noticed before that there are so many around with “J” in their handle. Makes me wonder if there is some sort chicanery afoot…(FYI, my J is real)

    J. Stapley — June 8, 2005 @ 7:21pm
  12. J., my J is real too, but that doesn’t mean there’s not chicanery going around. Whenever new Js come around I get suspicious!!

    Jenn — June 8, 2005 @ 7:44pm
  13. Strange things are afoot at the Circle J.

(Haven’t you heard? J is the new K.)

    Justin H — June 8, 2005 @ 11:57pm
  14. Dude, who’s been deleting Languatron’s comments? Sorry man, I wasn’t in on any of this. Probably Sep’s fault.

    Greg Fox — June 9, 2005 @ 12:17pm
  15. WTF, Greg? I’m not responsible. But even if I was it’s okay to delete Languatron’s comments. Haven’t we got enough crazy people around here?
